When I give food to the poor they call me a saint, when I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist.

It was revolting. As I sat there each morning, I faced off with a laminated poster of a Brazilian archbishop, Dom Hélda Cȃmara. Emanating papal rizz, he blessed me with the above quote. No complaining about breakfast then… (teenage eye roll). And try as I might to run away and become a ruthless capitalist, between my family values and breakfasts with the archbishop, the dye was cast.

Growing up in 1990s Australia, I had the breakfast delight of weet-bix with skim milk.
